bluegirly 343 Posted September 18, 2013 So I am one week post op, and I am on full liquids. My NUT told me that I could also have very thin cream of wheat. So I am trying to eat "meals" with my kids. In the morning I have COW, then at lunch and dinner I have cream based Soup, strained. So here is my question: should I be avoiding liquids like Water before/during/after these "meals"?? I have been doing that, thinking if nothing else it's practice for when I am able to eat real food. But it is NECESSARY considering that I am only on liquids?? Thanks in advance! lisacaron 5,075 Posted September 18, 2013 Good for you practicing good eating mechanics! I would refrain from the drinking and eating at the same time. When you are sitting with the kids and having your COW (love it) just have that. Then wait a half or or an hour and go back to your liquids to get in your hydration and other nutrition. Sounds like your going to do great with the band!

PrettyThick1 1,860 Posted September 18, 2013 There are no stupid questions when it comes to the band. This was a good one and although it's all liquid, right now is good practice for when you move on to solids. Keep up the good work. 3 bluegirly, Sharpie and Debbie3sons reacted to this
