southernqt 236 Posted September 18, 2013 Why when you're smaller but bigger you get picked on out loud but when you're really big people feel "sorry" for you and talk where you can't
southernqt 236 Posted September 18, 2013 Hear....it doesn't make sense. Maybe people were intimidated by you when you're smaller and when you're bigger you're "not a threat." Idk I was just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem or am I just looking too into it.

I was really big, over 400 pounds, and I was publicly ridiculed often. Total strangers would make horrible comments or laugh at me. Quite honestly, I was treated like I had a contagious disease by most of society. No one felt sorry for me but people were awfully judgmental and mean. 4 Zingythingy, n2win, ☠carolinagirl☠ and 1 other reacted to this
Zingythingy 210 Posted September 18, 2013 The world is full of ignorant people who feel they are entitled to say whatever they want... Just remember one thing the only opinion that should impact on you is yours.. Don't absorb their negativity..regardless of size age whatever people like that have ugly souls..in my opinion Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk 3 n2win, cdinky and lisacaron reacted to this
lisacaron 5,075 Posted September 18, 2013 Discrimination comes in all forms I'm sorry to say. I have found that those that have prejudices about others are the ones we need to have pity for. They are so consumed by their own lack and insecurity the only way they can feel valued is to make negative comments about others. It is much harder to look in the mirror and see what is wrong with ourselves then it is to cast those dispersions onto another. You are all strong healthy beautiful women and men, you have done the hardest work. We took a good long look at ourselves and said...I can fix this and make it better, and we work hard at it every day. Not to "fit in" but because it's what makes us feel better, and we can share those good feelings with others in the world. 1 southernqt reacted to this

No matter what you look like there's always going to be something that someone is going to look at and think could be "better." Also it annoys me that us bigger people are said to be lazy and taking the "easy" way out by doing surgery and we need to just get off the couch but no one takes into account that health problems have a great deal to do with most obesity, not to say I didn't over eat but my weight didn't get out of control until the birth control shot and then my thyroid went crazy. My mom lost 100 lbs in a year and she said its crazy how all of a sudden men who talked about her was talking TO her and she acted like they weren't even in her league lol 2 lisacaron and Julie norton reacted to this
lisacaron 5,075 Posted September 18, 2013 Go MOM! She's right they are NOT in her league! They did her a favor before she lost the weight because now she knows right where they stand and doesn't have to bother to figure them out. 2 southernqt and Julie norton reacted to this
