Thought it would be hard

Recommended Posts

Here I am just two months after reaching my goal and I thought it would be difficult trying to maintain as it was to lose in the first place. As I evaluate myself everyday I realize that it's not hard at all. I'm three pounds less than goal and have lost more inches and I'm not even trying. It just really amazes me how cool this lapband tool really is.

When you have tranistioned from diet to life change, its not hard at all. In fact, the stress of worrying about what to eat and not to eat I'm sure is a huge weight off your shoulders.

Congrats!

I found success once I got me head around the life change concept. I'm loving my lap band more and more everyday. Once I viewed my lap band as a tool, that helped me wrap my head around weight loss. Weight watchers, Jenny Craig and Atkins is a tool for some, but the lap band was indeed the most successful tool for me.

It's a LIFESTYLE...not another diet.....sounds like you learned your lessons well...

Most of the day I don't even think about it anymore....as though I had my appendix taken out once upon a time.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
