Comfortable shoes

Recommended Posts

I was just curious what kind of shoes y'all wear when walking? I can't seem to find any that wont hurt my feet after the third day of walking...

My first thought is to get properly measured. I wear a size 12, not fun. I wear New Balance sneakers all the time. I also wear SAS shoes and sandals. SAS are the most comfortable shoe you will ever wear but over $100. per pair. My son use to be a cook on his feet for over 12 hours a day and weighed over 400 pounds and wore the SAS shoes. They do make sneakers but I have never bought them. I live in the Boston area and New Balance is in Boston so I go to the outlet store. Reebok is 2 miles from me but I never really liked their sneakers. Nice having outlet stores near you

.Hope I helped you but getting measured is the best thing. Before I lost weight I wore a W and now a N or M.

I have a friend who works on her feet and she was having lots of shoe issues. She finely got custom dr scholls innersoles and now she just told me today that it made a world of difference. She has back problems as well and she said it really helped.

I just got a pair of Sketchers Synergy with memory foam insoles. I absolutely LOVE them! They are by far the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned (and I walk at least 2 miles a day).

Sketchers really looked great but they don't make size 12.

I use to wear a 9 or 9 1/2 but now I wear a 10 sometimes a 10 1/2 but I'm guessing that is weight gain. I have some Skechers and they are good but hurt after a few days. I'm going to check out the synergy shoes though :-)

I have the Nike Frees...love them! And if you buy them online you can customize the colors. I really like the Nikes because they are super light, but have tons of support and are like walking on clouds.

I love Nike as well, but in my experience the run narrow. Probably not good for someone with a wider foot.

Yup the frees are the best. I have wider feet from ice skates as a kid. Free is the most comfortable.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
