Anna90 14 Posted September 12, 2013 Does anybody else have problems for a few days after they have a fill? its only for 2-3 days then im able to eat properly again. Is it from swelling?
KAATNS 1,473 Posted September 12, 2013 Yes, it takes a few days or maybe even a few weeks for the fill to settle down for me. In the mean time, I just have to baby my band. 1 GuyMontag reacted to this

jenn9585 39 Posted September 12, 2013 my doctor requires his patients to do liquids the first day of your fill and soft foods 2 days after that because of the swelling! 1 Debbie3sons reacted to this
Kristi Twisti 18 Posted September 12, 2013 Anytime you get a fill or even an unfill, it is good to do liquids for a day or two and then mushies for another day or two. Hope this helps! 3 newlife828, Debbie3sons and lisacaron reacted to this

GuyMontag 1,264 Posted September 12, 2013 Fills can be tricky for up to a week after. Many people get a fill and don't think much of it and then it hits them later in the week. Just take things slow for several days and get used to it slowly. If you get to the point where you can't drink liquids you need to call your doc. 2 newlife828 and Debbie3sons reacted to this
BklynPenny 51 Posted September 12, 2013 The stuck feeling is terrible... I get super bloated after a fill and have to eat Soups & mushy foods until I feel better.
lisacaron 5,075 Posted September 12, 2013 Just had my 3rd fill. Dr. always advises to do 2 days of liquids and then 2 days of mushy slowly going back to solid Proteins. That always seems to work for me. They say it takes about 2 weeks for the affects of the fill to be noticeable. The first fill I didn't feel anything even a month later, the second one was keeping me pretty well for about 6 weeks, and then I noticed I was eating a little more then I should be. Here's hoping 3rd time is the charm 1 Debbie3sons reacted to this

kkccmom 37 Posted September 23, 2013 Is it unusual for there to be a bit of a delay in "issues"? I had a fill last Monday, followed the rules to a T and started softs on Wed evening (mashed potatoes)...on Friday, I had a Clif Builder Protein bar...no issues. Friday night, I went to Taco Bell w/ my fam. I chose a Mexican pizza and had about 3 tiny bites and it all came back up. In about the same form it went down...tho I did CHEW!! So, since then I've not been able to really eat anything. My shakes are even iffy...? I have had Fluid removed twice and Dr says I am WELL BELOW the "normal" capacity for this far out (July 2012). I seem to be hyper-sensitive to a fill, and certainly anything more than a "smidge" will not work at all. So, I AM drinking Water w/ no problem. Just sips. Should I just take it easy for a couple more days? Maybe I just over-did it too soon? I did follow his instructions, but maybe I did just get in a hurry since I'm so touchy. Also, I have a LOT of gurgling noises that echo around my throat...is that common?? I've lost 46...20'ish more to go. I don't want to go backwards... Thanks! Kim pizza anything... including taco bell because its dough doesn't normally go down... at least for me... and esp after a fill! anything with yeast swells when wet and therefore is more likely to get stuck... I know this isn't the case for everyone on this sight but im pretty sure its like this for majority of us on here... I would def go back to square 1 and do the liquids and then try softs again.... im not an expert but its just what I think I would do! 1 kkccmom reacted to this
kkccmom 37 Posted September 23, 2013 Thanks, Jenn....I'm trying. Have a SPLITTING headache. Think I may try to drink some broth or something and take a little nap. Hope to feel better. Feeling kinda nauseated, maybe just from the headache, or having eaten virtually nothing for 2 days. Thank you for the input! I'll give it another day or so and see how it goes!
