blondegal_ 1,028 Posted September 11, 2013 Im 45 days post op...i cant stop crying and feeling very depressed. I dont know why. Does anybody else have the same feeling? Please make an appointment with your PCP to discuss this. There could be many reasons but there's no need to feel this way. You've decided to become physically healthy. Your mental health is just as important, please seek some expert help. Many have a range of emotions right after surgery. This is a life changing event. Also it seems the pain and anesthesia can cause depression. But for most this goes away once they start feeling better and resuming "normal" life. Best of luck to you. louloumoo 22 Posted September 11, 2013 I've been a mental health nurse for 12 years (in the uk) and hearing this unnecessary suffering is very very sad.. Go the doctors sweetheart he can help, just a short term course of antidepressants to help you through, the next few months will be difficult, you have been through surgery and have lost your best friend (food) maybe that was your crutch when feeling down and fed up.. Just give yourself time, u will come out the other side, happier and healthy but in the mean time, no more suffering in silence.. God bless you xxxx 3 jennybean, dee257 and Cherry31 reacted to this
