kll724 3,055 Posted September 12, 2013 Only when I have had enough and maybe decided to have one more bite! Last night I had hiccups, but not sure what caused them. 2 catfish87 and dee257 reacted to this
B-52 7,113 Posted September 12, 2013 I burp when I drink too much carbonated drinks....always on a empty stomach because of the band. Hiccups are another thing..... 2 kll724 and catfish87 reacted to this
Tomander 614 Posted September 12, 2013 I don't burp but I do "gurgle" a lot and it's VERY loud. It can happen at any at time. It started shortly after I was banded. My doctor said it happens to many banded people It doesn't hurt and he said it's nothing to worry about. When it does happen it's just a reminder to me that my band is saying hello to me and that it's doing it job Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. kah1213 311 Posted September 12, 2013 Have anyone ever constantly burping with or without eating or drinking anything?? I burp if I've eaten too much or with certain foods.
missybear 86 Posted September 12, 2013 I burp quote often, both pre and post band, with or without food. I've been told I have awkward breathing, mainly as a mouth breather with little airflow coming in via my nose, resulting in swallowing air that gets trapped. It was thought at one stage a hiatus hernia could also be the cause, but fortunately on 2 occasions as well as lap band surgery, there is no sign of one. I generally find its no concern, often it's a help if I feel rather uncomfortable in my stomach to burp to relieve the pressure. More the trouble of trying to act lady like whilst its happening. Cucumber makes me burp more frequently than usual. No other particular food jumps to mind causing the burps
DetChatt 188 Posted September 12, 2013 Only cucumber gives me some burping, but that's normal really for cucumber.

YngGram 73 Posted September 18, 2013 Like it is my job. First thing in the morning and all day long, eating has nothing to do with it to get it started.
