mysonsmama 13 Posted September 10, 2013 I recently got a fill and am feeling great! Eating a lot less, making healthy food choices, and moving around a lot more, but not losing any weight. I think my thyroid meds need to be adjusted. Anyone else struggle with thyroid issues and weight-loss?
carrie.0508 136 Posted September 10, 2013 I have thyroid cancer. I am doing treatment while getting my band but I know how hard it is to lose weight with a messed up thyroid. :-)
GoingforGoal 1,734 Posted September 10, 2013 I have borderline hypothyroid. No longer on synthroid. No problems. 2 mysonsmama and 2muchfun reacted to this
blondegal_ 1,028 Posted September 11, 2013 I've had hypothyroidism for years. I go in every four months for check up and to get my meds adjusted. Had surgery in Dec '12 and have lost 80 lbs. I think if you're properly medicated then you should be able to lose weight. When doing blood work have them checking Vitamins too. I know if my Vitamin D gets low that will also zap my energy. 1 mysonsmama reacted to this

Loosing weight gave me energy to exercise which gave me more energy. Everyday is not a great day but I do manage to string together some good ones. Stay with it until you feel better. You'll be glad you did. 1 mysonsmama reacted to this

I have several disorders that slows me down to the movement of a slug. Diabetes , thyroid , and bipolar rapid cycling, a few of the psychiatric drugs are weight gainers. My antipsychotic is the real bad one that affects my blood sugar thus more insulin thus more fat. Aaarrrggghhh!! I can lose weight but slowly and the band is to help me not to put it back on. I was on about 35 pills a day 5 wks out stepped down to about 20 a day and maybe more once I do start losing. Good luck to all of us piled up with more than just weight . 2 mysonsmama and blondegal_ reacted to this
