rainbow 0 Posted May 20, 2006 I really don't have a surgery date yet. I guess I could get that May 26th that is when I meet Dr. Snow. I was told informal it could be in June. So far I am very very very happy with BIDMC. I head Dr Schneider explain the process at BIDMC. I know 3 people who have had the gastric bypass from Baystate and are doing great. I see Dr Higby at Baystate, well really at Mary Lane. Then my primary care and surgeon is at Wing Hosp. I guess you could say I am speading around the ins. $ LOL. Babytaffah 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Hi Rainbow, I was banded by Dr. Jones as well. It's three weeks tomorrow and I am down about 17lbs. I have to admit, I'm hungry on liquids now but I see Doc on Wednesday and I'm hoping to go to mushies! Good Luck! Julie
rainbow 0 Posted June 20, 2006 tommygirl i have gone thru cancer treatment and still have to see doctor every 3 months, and a form of treatment every 6 wks. so i am jumpy anyway. just because i did not choose Mercy doesn't mean you should not. i was told you should find out how many times the sugeon has done the procedure (do not want to be one of the first 100)and you should not be the first. i am also going to BIDMC because my son's wife works there also so i'll have extra eyes on me. I have to say i did not check out Baystate, but i am very happy with them for my cancer treatment.
