Mine is Lola. She is a mysterious sexy siren, who calls the shots, who is in control, and who is deep inside me. My alter-ego!!

I'm always rubbing my belly and feeling my port. I always tell my daughter and husband that the band is my baby. I have not named it but its my baby.

I thought i was weird to name it but i did. Shhhhh....dont tell anyone I named my band Anita. Anita Courcoulas was my surgeon. I believe my band is her signature, it has her name all over it, she placed it in me with faith it will help change my life. Its sorta like a work of art and the artist signs there name at the bottom to show off there work.

Besides Anita tells me when to eat, how much and when i need to slow down. I love it

Audry after the man eating plant in the musical "Little Shop of Horrors." He line in the play is "Feed Me!" when she gets hungry. When my Audry makes any gurgling sounds I know it is time to feed her. Then she eats a little says "thank you that will be enough." If I over feed she says "that is enough thank you, one more bite and I will send it back!" I know then it is time to stop feeding Audry.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
