In fall of 2011 I was kicked off a roller coaster because the safety bar would not secure because I was too fat. It was the most humiliating thing ever! My son was so upset that we couldn't ride and I felt like the worlds worst mom. Well today we went back and I rode that coaster with my kids!!! Happiest day ever!

What a wonderful NSV. Congrats to you for finding normalcy. I like that phrase better than losing weight, weight loss, etc. Because that takes it away from the scale and numbers and puts it where it should be. It's about living our lives like everyone else. Good for you!!

Terrific news,

I was on a wooden roller coaster and I got in with my son and the bar did not come done properly so I had to leave the ride except that they could not release the bar. The young man had to put his foot on the bar and force it down so it would release. My son went ahead and rode the coaster by him self. Not one of my finest moments, I did lose some weight but could not keep it off as a matter of fact I went on to gain another 70 lbs.

Now I can get on any coaster and not be concerned.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
