Favorite post-op foods

Recommended Posts

I'm coming up on 3 week post-op & getting so excited! I've gotten 25lbs off in almost a month. Really pushing myself to get to 30lbs by Thursday & then my next goal is to get another 30lbs off by December 12th. But I'm getting ready to start my 3rd week post-op and my transition off liquids but have no idea what to try and not try. Suggestions on what you ate would be lovely! Thank you :)

I'm assuming you're transitioning to mushies?

When I was mushies, the blender was my best friend, because anything I could blend into baby food consistency I could eat.

My favorite was putting chili and cream cheese into the blender. I also liked both chicken salad and tuna salad in the blender.

I've known people to even put spaghetti or raviolis in the blender.

Really, anything you can make baby food consistency, you can eat.

I went to full liquids and loved my creamed Soups, especially clam chowder. I still like Soup as a meal now and then. Yesterday I had a Vietnamese soup made with chicken and ginger broth with white meat chicken, rice noodles, bamboo shoots and bean sprouts. It's a good healthy option when you're allowed solid foods.

My favorite was about two ounces of canned chicken/tuna/salmon broken up a bit and mixed with about a third of an avocado. Add salt, pepper and ground mustard to taste!
