yvonne74 73 Posted September 8, 2013 I've been having what I thought was gallbladder problems off/on for several months now. I had a hida scan and the gallbladder is functioning at 79% (when I was feeling good and had slight discomfort during the exam). My Dr said that if it continues to bother me, he would take it out but I didn't have issues with it over the summer. I've started back to work (teacher) and now its bothering me again. I've been in pain the past few days so I haven't been able to eat at all. Today, I was feeling better and grabbed a chip (yes, I know not the healthiest, no lectures please) off of my son's plate at lunch. Within minutes, I began to hurt again which leads me to wonder is this all gallbladder? Could there be something else wrong? Anyone else have these issues? DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted September 8, 2013 chips are fatty/greasy so it makes sense it would upset the gallbladder issues. I'd go back to your doctor and let him re-evaluate the situation. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

I had mine out last week. It was way easier than band surgery.
GoingforGoal 1,734 Posted September 8, 2013 Nope that sounds like gallbladder. If you have stones than you can experience intermittent pain when the stones occlude the ducts. Get it out, it only gets worse and more frequent
yvonne74 73 Posted September 8, 2013 Thanks all.. That's what I was afraid of Hopefully, it can wait until Christmas or Spring Break b/c my boss will not be happy with me taking off for it. I've already had her give me a hard time about regular appts, I don't want to know what she will say for surgery.
