byrdmen 18 Posted September 4, 2013 I had my surgery in April 2010. I weighed 581 the day of the surgery, and weighed in at 310 this morning. I was wearing a size 72, and just bought a size 48. The key is steady, and don't let a flat weight or a pound gain freak you out. Just keep it going, and it will work if you keep your mind on track. Have some fun, cheat once in awhile, and you will do good.I also work as a food buyer in a major retailer, so food samples are around 24/7. So if I can do it, anybody can! 18 ADJL, feelinggood, carol285 and 15 others reacted to this
PrettyThick1 1,860 Posted September 4, 2013 Hi Byrdmen! First, congrats on your sucess! I am a newbie - banded just 2 months and 2 weeks ago and I'm dealing with a rough round of head hunger and overeating. While I've only had about 700 calories so far today, I am stuffed but I keep wanting to eat...so I've been nibbling on smart pop popcorn all day...again, I am stuffed but still want to eat. I know this isn't good. Have you ever had these times? If so, how did you deal with it? 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

suebaldwin 5 Posted September 16, 2013 Thanks for the success story. Congrats to you. I am doing good so far. I eat often but only a little at a time. This works very well for me. I don't stay hungry or crave anything all day. I'm only 5 weeks post op & have lost 23 so far. I don't care how long it takes to loose weight as long as it keeps coming off. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

jfc193 718 Posted September 21, 2013 Wow terrific advise to stay focus and sweat the little stuff. When I want to have a pity party for myself I concentrate on my ever increasing NSV's. Not being concern if the ladder I am on will hold me. When I was 330 lbs I was climbing on an old wooden ladder on a Water tank and I broke 3 steps. Walking up and down stairs without losing my breath. Not worrying if the chair in the cafe will hold me. Take care 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
