Congratulations on your surgery date! I just found out on Sept. 5 that I was approved for surgery as well. My surgery date is Sept. 27. Picking up my Protein Shakes on Monday. I wish you much success and blessings on surgery date and after.

Tomorrow I have to have blood work to check how fast I bleed (odd..never heard of that) and a chest X-ray. Then Tuesday' date=' Wednesday, & Thurs all pre-op stuff. Then a week to relax and then surgery!!! No pre-op diet for me woooooo hooooo!!!!!![/quote']

What was the reasoning behind not needing a preop diet? That's the one thing I am dreading. Lol

I'm not sure what the reason was.. It was never even mentioned. I think i just have to not eat 12 hours prior to surgery.

I'm thinking cuz I'm young and BMI under 50?
