I'm not about the waxing - maybe someday. I,personally, don't like the bare look. I feeling like it attracts pedophiles! (I know that's not true, don't get pi$$ed at me!) I try to keep it clean but I'm lazy and I figure if any guy has a problem, he can move on :P

First time I was waxed it was by a larger woman at a shop here in my town. We were laughing so hard the whole time, her coworkers were knocking on the door to check on us.

Second time I went to a school...... HELL NO!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN. I think I lost layers of kitty skin!!!

-a big NO to waxing...ESP my valentine!-

Every time I have had my eyebrows waxed a few layers of skin were ripped off as well. All attempts were at different salons & different clinicians. Each time I looked like I had severe radiation burns!!!

That's it no more! So there is NO way I would even consider risking hot wax & ripped skin on my valentine (I don't care what size she is....hell NO!!!!!)

My husband trims my hedges, he does a fantastic job & never complains. Nothing fancy, no landing strips and I give him creative & artistic freedom to do what he pleases; he's happy & I'm happy!

---but GOOD LUCK on your waxing adventure

Everyone's skin is different...I can have waxing done on all my body ...but as soon as they get near my um...uh...top lip my skin comes off :-( ...my treat for myself is for Lazer treatment...god my husband has seen it all and done it all...but to discuss my top lip issues. Hell no ! Pmsl...sorry bit of a tangent here rofl. Back to the subject...if to scared of waxing.. maybe iMac...as good a result as waxing...but would need to do every week (well I do or maybe I'm a hairy Mary lol) ..razor leave hair bumps as its the hair pushing back through the skin and then the pours can get infected and cause in growing hairs :-(

I get lazier in the side of my face with phenomenal results.... But never considered my kitty getting zapped.

That's HILARIOUS that you call her your "valentine"!! I'm on the fence but I get my eyebrows done every three weeks (I'm ITALIAN, okay? So just imagine...) and my skin doesn't flinch so I should be good to go down there with a wax. I have also considered lazer hair removal but that may be a Quest if i ever get that Tummy Tuck, free or not. Which, by the way my bikini line extends over my c-section scar hence under the flap of shame.

Love you guys!

Why go through the pain of waxing when laser is less painful and last forever!! It's wonderful and husband loves it!!

It's also a lot more expensive, Eller. I'm getting the side of my face done and it CAN get pricy.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
