i would think so. ask your dr (and get a note) and then call the jury office and advise them. i would think as long as you had a doctors note, you'd be okay.

Just get a letter from your doctors office it will work they have to let you go. I had that happen after an auto accident and I just had to send in a letter from my PC. Good luck!

Most jurisdictions allow you to call or go online and give a brief explanation of why you can't serve at this time. They'll defer you for up to 90 days before rescheduling. That's been my experience, anyway.

Its usually not a problem to adjourn it, defer once or twice with no or just a brief explanation. When I called about mine they even let me pick when I wanted to do it. It jusr had to be with in 6 months.

shouldn't be a problem... I was called but my husband was undergoing chemo at the time, I explained to the Judge and she said no problem... didn't even ask me for proof which of course I had..

Yes, you should ask to be excused for medical reasons. You will not feel like sitting up that long or being bothered with strangers and if you are chosen...oh boy!

Here we can get a delay, I would ask. Explain that you are having surgery, you don't need to say for what. They should be agreeable. Best wishes.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
