Vegangirl 44 Posted September 3, 2013 I got banded five years ago and reached my goal within the first two. I have maintained my weight loss but the last couple of years I realized eating meats, processed foods, and dairy were not good for ME. I have cut-out the above foods and saw noticeable changes, especially with increased energy. Has anyone else changed their eating habits and stuck with it? Please share 3 Anume 937, pastor o and Bandista reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted September 3, 2013 yes, count me in on responding. i went from total processed, high fat, high salt, high calorie fast food and alot of coors light and diet soda to eating only lean Protein meats, veggies and fruit....and wouldnt you know, my body responded by losing weight/inches/fat and i feel so much better without all those additives......i love the fact that hub and me prepare i would say 98% of all our meals so we know what goes into them....life is way way better now that i am banded....NO dieting, just eating and enjoying living......until one realizes that they do not have to do without and get off the diet train thinking, nothing will work......great job and thanks for posting this thread. 8 PrettyThick1, pastor o, catfish87 and 5 others reacted to this

Please share My eating habits have not changed considerably since my surgery, as I was raised in a home with minimal processed foods in the house, and that is also the way we raised our sons. I've always preferred simple and basic foods, and have stuck with them throughout my weight loss journey. The portion sizes, of course, are very different! I still have dairy products in the form of 1% milk, low fat cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. I am unable to tolerate the preferred form of Calcium supplements for bariatric patients, so I have to increase my intake of real dairy and Calcium carbonate to compensate. My newer eating guidelines are now habit with me, and have become second nature. I'm not anticipating that anything will change much in the future. 2 newlife828 and pastor o reacted to this
