newlife828 17 Posted September 6, 2013 I am also one week out. Today I also had very little energy, but I think I may have pushed myself too much- a lot of errands and running around trying to play catch-up. I also I forgot to take my second Vitamin. I'm not feeling nauseous though. Maybe call your dietitian team/nurse tomorrow if you're still feeling weak. Hopefully you'll feel a little stronger. 1 Sally Pearl reacted to this
Sally Pearl 59 Posted September 6, 2013 You definitely are trying to do too much. Remember you have had major surgery and your nutritional intake is much less so your energy levels will be much lower. It is normal to feel weak and tired at the beginning, so rest up as must of you can and try and get your liquids in. You will feel so much better when you start on your mushy diet, your energy levels will improve and you will start to feel back to normal. You take care 1 newlife828 reacted to this

StephyJo 0 Posted September 6, 2013 Hi all, This is my very first post. I just found this site about a hour ago. I had my surgery on Aug.19th, a few days short of 3 weeks. I started pureed foods on the Tuesday the 24th and it took about a week to get my energy back. The week before surgery and day one of my liquid diet I was 241. The day of surgery 230 and today 225. So Since my surgery 5lbs. I am so worried. I am happy to see the decrease but I read about all these people that drop large numbers at the beginning. I have 4.5 cc's. I don't go back to see the Dr. until September 24th. I am walking about 30 minutes every other day. I have not been sick once. I may have felt stuck once but other than that, I don't feel any different. But I have stuck by all the rules in regards to eating and drinking and this may be why I have not felt ill or stuck. I am trying not to be impatient but I am really worried that I will be one of the few out of millions that fail. Gee 5lbs in almost 3 weeks?
