its me 0 Posted May 14, 2006 6 months out & had 3rd fill. Can eat real food but having a problem with even Water. (3 weeks post fill) Anyone with this problem? Should I just get unfilled? or wait it out?
Th?r?se 0 Posted May 14, 2006 I am not quite sure how you can get real food down but not liquid but I would definitely suggest an small unfill. You must keep your fluids up! Good luck Thérèse
Barb 0 Posted May 14, 2006 I have problems with cold drinks; even Water. I have found that if I drink water, etc. at room temperature I don't have a problem. If I drink anything while eating I have problems; in other words, one way to end a meal is to take a drink! I miss drinking cold water, especially on hot days, but my success with working with the band makes it worth it.
Lynn B 0 Posted May 14, 2006 I am also confused - some people do have trouble with cold drinks but if you have no problems with solids then liquids should not be giving you that much trouble. You mention that the quick way to stop a meal is to have some Water but as a bandster you should not be drinking until at least 30 minutes after your meal. Sounds like you need to check back in with your doctor and nutritionist - get checked out to make sure there is no physical problem and then have a refresher on bandster eating? I hope you get the problem figured out - dont give up on your band yet - when used correctly it really does work.
*susan* 1,709 Posted May 14, 2006 Since getting my band, I have found that I cannot drink anything that is real cold or has ice. I have to wait for my drinks to get room temperature. If I don't, I get major pain from it. It does seem weird though that you can get solids down and not liquids.< /span>
