iturn2dj 18 Posted September 1, 2013 Hi all, I'm six days post op and have learned to notice my body's new signs of hunger. I've also learned that when I'm hungry, I have to eat soon or I will have hunger pains that don't allow me to think of anything else. It feels a lot like the gas pains, but it's accompanied by the growling and "rolling" of the stomach. Did anyone else have this? Summer
sabrelouise 3 Posted September 1, 2013 I did and still do some times. I'm 9 days post-op. I have to make myself eat a little more Soups or liquids through out the day and drink plenty of Water too.

I don't wish this on anyone, but I am glad to know I'm not the only one! I do know the second I get something in my stomach, the pains stop. It's so weird. I wonder if that'll ever go away? LeeB1946 261 Posted September 1, 2013 That is why eating ever 2 hours about 3 oz at a time helps to get through this phase. 2 kll724 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
PlanoMom 6 Posted September 1, 2013 I had surgery on July 24th. It gets better. Before your first fill you'll be starving and eating almost like pre-band. I'm now at 4.7 cc in a 10cc band. Had lunch at 1:30 today and was fine all morning. Its a great feeling! Finished leftovers at 8 and no snacking in between. Hang in there! It gets better. I will hang in there, like I have a choice, ha! Thanks for the feedback. #lapbandprobz
kll724 3,055 Posted September 1, 2013 That tummy talk is pretty normal as its taking tummy awhile to realize that it doesn't need all that food you have been giving it! It will go away, eventually!!Drink your liquids and walk as much as possible. The "new" you is on her way!! 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and KAATNS reacted to this
mrsto 2,925 Posted September 1, 2013 I had it really bad after surgery. I rumbling and rolling was VERY painful. The nurse at my doctor's office told me that they hear that a lot, but it passes. And it did. I thought it was from the plication, but apparently, band alone can cause it.
