Could you describe the pain? Is it like a dull ache like it's sore or sharp like it's pinching? Do you correlate it with anything like after standing for a long time, exercising, or ???

One thing to remember is that as you lose weight, your port will become more prominent because there's less and less fat covering it. This makes it easier to palpate, but without padding, it can also be easier to irritate. Depending on where your port lies, tight clothing can do it. Perhaps you started a new workout routine and the pulling and turning is causing it to pull at the sutures and scar tissue.

Real concern comes with apparent swelling (think golf ball), hot to touch, any Fluid filled pockets etc which is pointing towards infection opposed to irritation.

Tell us more so we can try to help, but also consult w/ your doc :)

Thanks, there is no swelling and its not hot, reading your response helps me alot I did wear some jeans that kept rubbing up against the area my port is located wright under left rib cage and sometimes clothes rub up against the area, but I have never felt it like this, its just a sore aching feeling and I walked 4 miles yesterday for the first time so that may be the cause also, thank you ill watch it, I think I just got a little worked up....thanks again <3

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
