pain where port is at...

it has been 6 months since I had surgery and today is the first day I am having pain at the port site, im wondering is this normal ? it is really sore when I move or touch the area....any advice??? im a little scared

I'm almost 4 months post op and I have pain in my port more times than not (the way I slept, standing too long, etc.). I talked to my NP about it and she said it was normal. It's stitched to your ab muscle which gets used all the time. I would still talk to your doctor about it.

My port hurts when I eat the wrong foods...eggs and chicken fill me up with gas and put pressure on it. Usually I take Gas X and listen to what my pouch doesn't like and stay away from it. Good Luck
