AZ Gary 149 Posted August 28, 2013 Making a note to myself to shave over the port area prior to going in for a fill. I swear the NP used a cotton ball and a square of duct tape afterwards. Port being sore was enough, but pulling the bandage off before a shower was the worst. 4 beanie80, KAATNS, pastor o and 1 other reacted to this

AZ Gary 149 Posted August 29, 2013 I've seen that movie... No thank you. Bad enough when the nurse at my PCP takes extreme joy in pulling off the EKG contact pads. 1 pastor o reacted to this

JBT222 51 Posted September 6, 2013 I have the same problem so have taken to trimming in advance. But yes, the cotton ball and it might as well be duct tape they use. OUCH! When the Dr. does it instead of the NP, he just holds the gauze there for a minute or two and talks to me. No tape.
mrshep08 18 Posted September 22, 2013 I get a full chest stomach neck and back wax anyway. Only because the wife like it though.

Port being sore was enough' date=' but pulling the bandage off before a shower was the worst.[/quote'] You poor thing! My doctor does my fills and all he uses is one of those tiny circle shaped bandages. I don't bleed too much after a fill so that little circle bandaid is enough. No pain whatsoever.
