merryKerry 44 Posted August 28, 2013 Hi all, I am a front sleeper and had my band fitted a week ago now. I still have a little swelling over my port site and the 'pulling' sensation when sitting up - lying down. I have been struggling to sleep on my back - side, I turned onto my tummy the other night and woke with a yelp from me due to the pain :-( ... How long roughly will the pain - swelling stay with me for and will I be able to sleep on my front again ?

Also, please be cautious because I was just 4 months post op when my port flipped from me trying to sleep on my tummy. I've had a port revision since that time and I'm sleeping fine now. I am 8 months post op. 1 Debbie3sons reacted to this
colorado_chick 55 Posted August 29, 2013 Yeah, I agree. It took me about a month until I could sleep anyway I wanted, without anything hurting.
