bassetluv 22 Posted August 28, 2013 I had my surgery yesterday morning and I'm having bouts of nausea, especially when I get up to walk around or it's been awhile since I had something to "eat". Anyone else go through this? Any advice? Since I can't eat a lot at once, I wonder if I should try to eat small amounts every couple hours.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted August 28, 2013 Did your doctor send you home with anything for nausea? If not, I'd call and ask him to send a script into your local pharmacy. Best wishes. 1 mrsto reacted to this
Mandylove 32 Posted August 28, 2013 I had terrible nausea that lasted 5+ days. The medicine the dr gave me didn't do anything. There ended up being a bubble in my band that was causing it. The dr went into my Port, let the air out, and I immediately felt better! If it doesn't get better that may be the problem.
bassetluv 22 Posted August 28, 2013 I have a patch behind my ear that's supposed to control nausea for 3 days but it doesn't seem to be working. I'll call my docs office as soon as they open.
bassetluv 22 Posted August 28, 2013 I talked to the physicians assistant and she called in some zofran for me. Hopefully that helps - she said the pain meds I'm on could be a contributing factor and I'm not ready to stop those yet.
