NiftyNinjanator 51 Posted August 28, 2013 I was banded yesterday and have much less pain than I thought. I can get up and down pretty well, I even slept in my bed last night. I was expecting to sleep in the recliner. Not too shabby. I want to keep coughing, I'm assuming gunk in lungs from the breathing tube, and that doesn't feel good. Other than that, the pain is not to bad. I'm even working from home today. I am very thirsty though. I want to down my Water in one chug, but I am making myself sip it. I'm impatient so this is quite the learning curve. 3 Bandista, Irishflower79 and 3-Sibe-Mom reacted to this

I'm on day three, a little pain, I drove around today and went to the grocery store. Just taking it nice and easy - it gets easier! 2 Bandista and Irishflower79 reacted to this

Tamie 18 Posted August 29, 2013 Keep walking, a lot. The sooner you get the air out the sooner it won't hurt. Tamie Banded 7/21/09 246 135 1 Bandista reacted to this

The incision feels like its going to bust open when i try to stand up or sit back. My stomach muscles are so sore. I had my surgery on the 21st and I was in a lot of pain as well. I couldn't take in any liquids what so ever! I was extremely tight!! And hurting bad. I call my dr office twice they first told me to get some Prilosec - it helped just a little so I called back.... They sent me to see if there was Fluid in my band ( dr said no) and they ended up taking some fluids out and there was a 90% improvement immediately.

Just sip Water constantly as dehydration is a killer ! ...I know your hungry but don't try to eat , the pain but also you don't want to cause the band to slip x it took about 7 days for me to start feeling human again ( but that was partly my fault when I didn't drink enough) but if your at all worried call your center and have a chat 1 Bandista reacted to this

Every day you feel an improvement. Hang in there. 1 Bandista reacted to this

iturn2dj 18 Posted August 30, 2013 Oh yes' date=' it definitely gets better day by day :-)[/quote'] I am back at work today - four days post op! 1 pm and I'm EXHAUSTED. I'm shocked at how often I'm hungry and how little it takes to fill me up. 4 bites and I'm good for another 2 hours, but man...when I'm hungry it hits me quickly! Does this get any better? I work in manufacturing and travel a lot, so it's definitely a mental thinking change for me to instead have food available right when I need it.
