I just had my port repositioned 4 days ago because it was flipped. They adjusted me at the same time but only a small adjustment (.5cc) so now I'm at 6.5cc and now I feel like no matter what I drink/eat...I feel so nauseous and nothing takes that feeling away. My doctor said there was nothing I could do but let it pass but now I'm at day 4 and liquids and purées all make me feel like I wanna throw up! Help?!! I can hold everything down but the after taste makes me feel so nauseous and I feel like this all day..

I went for an upper GI and to have an adjustment in radiology because my doctor couldn't feel the port well enough to do the adjustment in the office and during the X-ray the doc saw it was flipped on its side. I didn't have any pain around the port area and would have never known otherwise. You can always ask them to send you to radiology to check it out. Hope this helps and you feel better!

I think that it is just like having your surgery again. I had a revision back 2 years ago come this October, and I had to go through the whole healing all over again. Best wishes, Karen

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
