Life insurance after lap band

Hi again folks, yes I sure ask a lot of questions. Love that I have a place to do so!! Thank you!!

When I last applied for life insurance (actually an upgrade) I was denied because of my weight. How does getting a lap band affect the application process? Will they deny me again after I'm thinner because of it or will I pass with flying colors because I'm healthier?

Any input/comments?

If you get to a healthy weight and maintain it for a set amount of time (all insurance companies have different guidelines), then you're no longer a risk due to obesity so you'd be easier to insure with less money.

I previously had 6 different conditions that prevented me from getting any more life insurance, however with weight loss all are no longer part of my life and been removed from my medical records. Thus I have been able to up my insurance.

I was able to get life insurance through USAA even with my weight although it was a bit high ( I have other conditions as well). They said if I lost weight due to the lap-band then it could lower my premium.
