2muchfun 8,927 Posted August 24, 2013 I had no pre-op diet so I'm not much help? But, you might get better comments if you could post what your doctor's pre-op diet plan is? We all have different doctors and each Dr has their own protocol? tmf 1 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
ready4animprovedme 54 Posted August 24, 2013 For my preop diet I could have as many Protein Shakes as I wanted, & I did. They helped in curving my appetite

the shift lieutenant 11 Posted August 24, 2013 pudding or tapioca works for me, but maybe for an hr or two at best. Popsicles help in a jam. Take a can of clam chowder and stick it in the blender till its about foam. That will work for sure! If you're hungry, eat. Just make sure you stay on the program foods. I'm of the opinion if you just continue to starve yourself the healing process will take longer and you will continue to be miserable. Mental health is a huge part of your recovery as much as rest and proper diet. My 2 cents... 4 newlife828, jfarmer03, laurdy and 1 other reacted to this

Red bird 20 Posted August 24, 2013 I despised the first days after surgery. Could hardly wait until all fluids. Now heading into the puréed phase and diet consists of Soup and Greek yogurt. Not very exciting but a means to the goal of losing 65 pounds. I do remember my stomachs growling and I would honestly just get through it. My advice is to be convinced of why you got the surgery and stay the course.
