I'm curious? What kind of diet has he put you on? Seems like you would want to stick to slider type foods so that you don't do any more stretching?

I am almost three years post op and I have dilated my pouch two or three times. Fluid would be removed and I was placed on liquids for a week and then mushies and then solid foods. After four weeks I was back to normal. Good luck.

Thanks for the information and no my dr did not say any thing about Special kind of diet.... But I think I will just go on liquids and soft foods myself so hopefully I'll be back to normal when I go see him again..... I've seen on here several other people that have that problem and I'm glad it can be resolved.... I was just getting really scared ... I feel kind of discouraged with myself but then I remember I've lost a hundred pounds with band

Don't feel discouraged. That's the blessing with the band, you can always start over. Good luck.

Hey Hihi everyone - I'm new/old - was on this site a while ago, when I first banded. I saw your post about stretched pouch and I'm there! How's your's doing? I am going for fluro next Tuesday - haven't seen a doctor in 4 years - basically right after my year anniversary I moved away and never saw a doc again. I lost almost 100lbs, but have gained back 50 and counting. Since my first appointment with the new bariatric doc I've gained about 7 pounds. When I first had the band done food did not taste good and I had to force myself to eat, well I moved away to a place where I got very depressed, smoked a lot of marijuana (doc's up there said it was great for depression, "Better than any atavan, Xanax or coloaphin" and thus I started the stretch. But I only gained about 15lbs. Now my husband went through a very stressful medical condition and I ate my way through it. I'm getting out of control. Clothes don't fit, rolls everywhere, mind is just sad and all I keep doing is gaining - since March I was 212, 217 at primary doc, 225 started a job today 240lb...or more. Any advice other than fluro, unfill, etc. I'm afraid I'm going to get back to my old size 280 very soon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
