healthydnp 96 Posted August 23, 2013 Had surgery Aug 6th. Wondering when I can swim and start exercising. Any thoughts or suggestions?
HotButterFly 981 Posted August 23, 2013 Generally, three weeks post op, as long as the incisions are closed and fully healed; however, every surgeon has their own rules... It only take a second to find out, call them (as I did) and see what are their guidelines.
melissag43 51 Posted August 23, 2013 I had to wait four weeks to swim. You can walk anytime but wait till you cleared for heavy excercise. 1 kll724 reacted to this

kll724 3,055 Posted August 23, 2013 I think as long as its your pool, and there is no chance of getting infections or passing stuff to others, you can probably swim when your incisions heal. Ask your surgeon.
