maryb 1 Posted May 12, 2006 I too love them Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Fortunately I became allergic to Peanuts and can't have them anymore. I don't know how you suddenly develope an allergy to Peanuts, but I realized it when I was on the South Beach Diet eating a lot of Peanut Butter. I started wheezeing like a big dog. Allergist told me to stay way clear of all nuts from now on. I don't want to die, so I don't eat them.
momof2boys 0 Posted May 13, 2006 i have a reciepe that I use to help with certain cravings and this one may help you. Take 1 tbsp of Peanut Butter and 1 sugar-free/fat-free fudgsicle. Place peanut butter in a bowl insert the frozen fudgsicle. Place in microwave for 15-30secs. Just enough to barely melt the fudgsicle. Then mix the pb and melted fudgsicle together. Serve with cool whip. - good news gives you 4-6 grams of Protein and keeps the calories down. Hope it helps. Deb
Marimaru 7 Posted May 13, 2006 grocery shopping online?? I bet you drive one of those HOVERCrafts to work too?? I thought Mrs. Jetson was the only one who could GROCERY shop online!! How does this work? Do they deliver, or do they gather, and you pick up? Is there a service charge? OH MY, the poor bag boys are going to be obsolete. Some of them were so darned cute. LOL Out here (Southern California) you can do this at albertsons.com and vons.com (vons is a Safeway brand). At Albertson's, you can pay $9.95 for delivery, or $5.95 for them to gather it for you so you can pick it up. It's really nice, and I do find it helps me not buy junk. I haven't done it much, but I can go throught he lists of things and decide what I want to buy, and then go through what it is in my 'cart' and prune out what I put in there that I really don't need, or isn't in my budget.

bandayed 0 Posted May 13, 2006 OK, I too am a Reeses addict.......Lately though when I NEEDED it, I bought the SMALL bag of reeses pieces. Split them 5 ways (btw me & my 4 kids) and ate my mini serving VERY SLOWLY loving every second of it. I figure 5 resses pieces can't be too bad. After all they were ET's favorite and look at his BMI..........
SRaeM 0 Posted May 14, 2006 I know it's not the same, but I found something when I'm really desperate. I put a little low fat Peanut Butter in Cream of Wheat. I use the single serving instant made with milk. Put peanut butter in the milk. Micro 2 minutes. Stir in instant Cream of Wheat. Micro 1 more minute. This takes care of my peanut butter craving. You can top with yogurt or anything. Perhaps something Sugar Free Chocolate.< /p> Peanut Butter cups are my favorite.
lianna 3 Posted May 14, 2006 Reese's makes sugar free mini pb cups! I found them when I found out I was diabetic...taste like regular ones! One mini kills that craving for me.

Devana 0 Posted May 14, 2006 I have a receipe for a kind of Reeces square. It DOES taste like the real thing and you can leave the chocolate part off, which is unfortunate because I think there is some value in working for that little bit of Peanut Butter inside. Totally addictive, however I'm proud to say I haven't made it in about 5 years.
mini_me 3 Posted May 15, 2006 i like only the thin layer of chocolate on the top and bottom of the cup. I do not like the thick rim of chocolate on the outer rim of the cup. oh, gosh, i am demented. wheres is vinesqueen's tough love when we need it?
Nana~ 4 Posted May 15, 2006 lol, I'm an addict too. I make them @ home we call them Peanut Butter fudge. My Grand ma taught me how to make them, she would roll the peanut butter mix into balls then on a toothpick dip them into chocolate. I only make them 1 or 2 times a year. Xmas and if we go somewhere we have to bring a desert. My hubby cannot see a movie in the theater w/out his reeses pieces, I cant watch it w/out popcorn! lol I bet I could change up my recipe using low fat peanut butter, splinda (sp) hmm dunno. I'm going to go eat an apple and peanut butter now

Wheetsin 714 Posted May 16, 2006 Oh man. Reese's are the only candy that I really like, and they're my favorite. I haven't had one since banding. I do have a surrogate, FWIW. I add a tbl of low-fat PB to my Protein shakes. In chocolate powder it tastes Peanut Butter cup-ish, not spot on but really good. In vanilla powder it tastes like the white chocolate cups, IMO. Next time I make a shale I'm going to try the SF PB DaVinci Syrup. Mmm... can't wait... (Ok, speaking of Peanut Butter & chocolate addictions, I don't really like ice cream that much, but BR has the BEST flavor, Peanut Butter Chocolate... mmmmmmmmm...)
