amk2012 10 Posted August 20, 2013 I had my surgery 8/14 and I am up a few pounds. Anyone else experience this?
SolracSpree 133 Posted August 20, 2013 I was up a few pounds for two weeks until my swelling went down. Each persons body has a different reaction to the surgery some people lose 10 pounds week 1 others swell and gain 5. Unless you are drinking gravy and fat I doubt you've gained weight if you are drinking liquids during this time. 1 sbalanta reacted to this
SandyM 1,956 Posted August 20, 2013 It'll go away when the swelling goes away. Dont get discouraged.

You are healing right now, focus on your new way of eating, slowly with small bits... There will be plenty of time for the scale, but right now it will only frustrate you. 1 sthenny reacted to this
sbalanta 2 Posted August 21, 2013 I feel the same way had my surgery on 8/7 and thought the lbs would just start coming I'm up 3 lbs since I started the shakes again and now I. Luka Beth 78 Posted August 22, 2013 Its common to gain weight the first month post surgery, ESP if you were on a liquid preop diet. you have time to lose once you are healed...focus on healing and not on the scale.< /p>
