PJkitty 139 Posted August 18, 2013 My surgery is day after tomorrow. I was feeling pretty excited and then I saw all this stuff about pain and stuff after. Now I'm kinda scared. I am ready to start this new journey in my life but am def not looking forward to the pain afterwards. We have four kids and my husband is only gonna b off for three days after my surgery. I don't know if he should get a couple more days off or not. HELP!!! 2 aviva1979 and Irishflower79 reacted to this
aviva1979 375 Posted August 18, 2013 I didn't have to factor in kids - but was truly thru the worst of the pain after the first few days. Congrats on the upcoming surgery!
SueBee01 630 Posted August 18, 2013 Depending on how young your kids are you may want him longer. You just need to take your pain meds as prescribed. The only problem is you can't drive while you take them. Also, no lifting for a couple weeks so if you have little ones that may be a problem. Otherwise you will be fine after a couple days of being home. Just remember, no major activity for six weeks. 1 dylanmiles23 reacted to this

dylanmiles23 2,198 Posted August 18, 2013 The worse pain is from the gas they fill you with. A heating pad and walking helps a lot. In a few weeks you won't recall any of it. I didn't. Best thing I did. I can play with my grandsons and not get out of breath in 2 minutes. Your children will be happy with a mother that can keep up with them. Good luck, you'll be fine. 1 Irishflower79 reacted to this
