tiredoffeelingbad 3 Posted August 16, 2013 I've had my band since Nov. 2012. I started out great and lost 43 pounds the first 3 months. But these last few months I have done terrible. I've gained back about 10 pounds and I'm so mad at myself. What are some things you did to get back on track?
lisacaron 5,075 Posted August 16, 2013 Well my friend you're doing one of them now! You’re here and you're looking for motivation!! I have not been with my band for very long, but I would think a good first place to start is with a visit to your Dr. see if you need a fill, give yourself a kick start by going back to the beginning when you first got your band. Maybe try that 5 day reset by going back to a liquid diet for a few days and jump starting a healthy eating program. Best of luck to you! 2 dylanmiles23 and tiredoffeelingbad reacted to this
Shazam 517 Posted August 16, 2013 Try to go for a fill, and follow the diet, but most of all exercise. I was also banded in nov 2012. Look what you're eating. It isn't easy. The band is a tool, not magic. Good luck 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and tiredoffeelingbad reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted August 16, 2013 I would start tracking your calories religiously, even if you have a bad day and cheat. It's a lot harder to "mess up" if you have to face the calorie count for your mistakes. 4 KAATNS, ☠carolinagirl☠, tiredoffeelingbad and 1 other reacted to this
soccerturtle 7 Posted August 18, 2013 I bought a Bodymedia Fit Link armband that I wear 23 hrs a day on my left upper arm and it tracks (remarkably accurately) my caloric intake and expenditure every day. I have an app on my iPhone that I enter all my calories eaten into and the app calculates the amt of calories I am allowed to eat per day in order to create a "calorie deficit" of 700 calories or more per week. That's what I need to burn an excess of per week to lose 1-2 lbs per week. I LOVE it! It keeps me accountable and motivated! They're kind of pricey but look on ebay instead of buying one new. Good luck and I'm sure you'll be back on track in no time! The first step is reaching out for help and not waiting too long to ask for it. 10lbs will be easy to recover from! Be proud of yourself for knowing when to ask for help/support!! 1 tiredoffeelingbad reacted to this
