I was just wondering if anyone has tried the Unjury Protein Powder and if so, what is the best flavor? I haven't used that brand, I like Muscle Milk light because I can tolerate the taste, but was looking for an alternative.

I love unjury- I have it on auto ship. I love the strawberry sorbet and mix it with minute maid light.

I will not let myself run out of the vanilla and the chocolate splendor. I wouldn't get my Protein in without them. Unjury is the BEST. You will not regret this purchase. I put a scoop in my coffee every single morning.

I really like the chocolate splender, but all flavors are good. I use the vanilla a lot--I put it in my sugar free Jello and my sugar-free instant pudding. Tonight I'll finish the cheesecake pudding with vanilla Unjury. Yummee! I'm going to get some more DaVinci sugar free syrups and add them to the vanilla flavor. I finally found a source for DaVinci (Bariatriceating.com doesn't carry it now). I can get it on Amazon prime, but I'll check a couple local stores first.

I wouldn't have thought of being able to put it in pudding. I can't put my current powder in any of that. Just make a shake out of it

I consider myself a "protein snob" because I could not tolerate most brands / flavors. I swear by the Unjury UNflavored. I like it because you can add it to about anything and it has a high Protein content. I purchased the Bariatric Advantage (eeww!) and you had to use TWICE as much to get the SAME amount of protein that UNjury has . . . just my two cents :)

You can order a variety pack. I ended up liking all of them but then bought the vanilla in the canister. For me, vanilla is the easiest to use as a "base" for all kinds of smoothies.< /p>

The chicken is good but the instructions say you can't mix it in hot Water and it is a bit too cool for my tastes since you use tepid Water.< /p>

I enjoy the chocolate classic more then the splendor.. best thing to do before you buy the canisters is to try the single serve packs.. get the variety pack.. you can try them all. Unjury for me has been the best one ive tried to date. and once your in their system.. you usually get your powders the next day LOVE that!

I mix it with water that is at the max temperature suggested. Once it's fully dissolved I mix in with another Soup that's at a hotter temp. Usually comes out just right. Favorite one to mix it with is Pacific brand French onion Soup.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
