Surgery date aug 21! From Canada

Recommended Posts

Well I have officially received my date. Aug 21!! I am super excited. Having a little bit of a hard time with the pre op diet. And my nerves are a little on edge. Just because I am not sure what to really expect. I have a had multiple surgeries before so being under is not worrying me but the whole after math. I should a never googled lap band. Lol. But the I look at the % rate of complications and it's very low... Now to get through this detox and on with the next phase post op! Is there quite a bit of pain after surgery?? Any words of wisdom pre op diet. Post op diet and with the surgery would be great. I am 28 and have a bmi of 30. So they say I won't lose extremely fast. But at a healthy speed.

Thank you!!!

what you are going through is perfectly normal. the unknown is always stressful and this is really unknown territory for us folks who are used to eating until stuffed and not paying attention to bites, eating slower, etc. just know that you will get used to it all and hopefully find it to be second nature at some point. good luck and keep us posted on your journey.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
