anjel73 1 Posted August 12, 2013 On day 5 of my liquid diet. Was wondering why my doc doesn't have broth as an option for me when i read this it seems most people have that option
ChicagoRose 650 Posted August 12, 2013 broth truly only serves to satisfy you when you are tired of sweet options, there is really no nutrition and is empty calories which is why you might have been recommended only shakes I'm assuming? Call in if you are unsure but I don't see why there would be any reason you can't sip on some broth if you want. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

stept04 465 Posted August 12, 2013 They may have just forgotten to list it. So I'd call like the above mentioned. ~~~Stephanie
RD86 19 Posted August 12, 2013 My doctor's pre-op diet is basically only Protein shakes (4-5 a day). I've seen other pre-op diets where people could eat just eat a lot less. I guess every doctor is different, in the end we all have the same goal. Good luck. I just started my pre-op liquid diet today.
