Curious about salad

Although I only start solids tomorrow , I was reading threads on salad my question is do you still keep the veggies to the one cup?

I used to like salads but can't do that iceberg lettuce much anymore without having bm issues.. I stick to green Beans, brocoli, peas , spinach or greens.. very seldome have salad if I do it's about 1/4 cup...

Sharpie - I'm with you on the salad thing. I used to love them, but now can't tolerate much. it's one of the things I really miss.

I am going to say ask your nutritionist. When I asked mine, she told me that there was a not a 1 cup because lettuce/salad was so much Water ... she considered it a slider (strange to me!)

Not sure why this is so different.

I agree with the slider issue. I didn't eat salad for the first year. Just filler that didn't stay with you very long.

That's really interesting I will ask at my next meeting , I ended up skipping the lettuce and eating all of the good stuff black Beans cheese ect... I am afraid I am eating to many soft foods though

Try adding chopped chicken or ham or even fish, eggs. All good!

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
