olliensys 53 Posted August 7, 2013 Sarah, I am 2 and half weeks out and I am having the same thoughts. I was almost in a panic when they gave me a date because it became more real. I am just focusing on the positive like not having diabetes and having more energy to do things with my husband and daughter. I am such an independent person and the backbone of my family that being incompasitate for a short period of time scares me. I have started mainly focusing on cleaning my house from top to bottom, organizing bills and doing yard work to get ready for the winter. Doing all this stuff gives me less time to focus on unpleasant things. 1 stept04 reacted to this
sarahc27 5 Posted August 7, 2013 They are all great ideas! And your worries resignate with me being a mum of 4 there is alot to think about while we recover! But you have a great attitude. I am trying to think of the positives and I think for me it's the waiting around for surgery to happen, that gets to me. My mind goes into overdrive while I'm waiting. But hey I've waited long enough for this so another 6 days won't be any harm! Xxxx
