I know everyone uses different exercising methods but I am curious to know what works best for you? I use the treadmill only because I am short and it's the only machine that I don't have to over adjust just to work it.

I jog outside only because it's so dang easy for me to get off the treadmill. If I've jogged a couple of miles away I have no choice but to jog back home. Lol. I think walking/jogging is probably one of the best cardio workouts you can do for weight loss. Swimming and biking are also excellent.

I only use the treadmill. I stay on it for 60 minutes. Last week, I started using the elliptical machine, but I can only do five minutes. That thing hurts but I'm trying to get used to it because it is a real calorie burner!

A word of caution on the eliptical machine. I used it very successfully at rehabilitating my injured knees many years ago but I've read that the calorie indicators on the machines are flawed. It seems that once you build up a resistance to the specific exercise the eliptical trainer uses you don't burn as many calories as a comparable workout like jogging. Many people think they are getting a great workout on it because they are sweating but fail to pay attention to their target heart rate which is the best indicator of your fat burning level. I'm not knocking them but just offering a word of warning. Make sure you're hitting your target heart rate for maximum fat burning power!

Previously the treadmill was my goto, I even own one. However, I've loaned it to a friend as I need back surgery and just can't walk that far/long without my leg going numb. Now, I joined a gym and I do Water aerobics and yoga. I love both of them immensely. I hate sweating, so water aerobics is definitely for me, I stay cool, work my butt off safely and people can't really see me (other than getting in/out of the pool), they just see a blue blob under some wobbly water (I have a blue swimsuit). I love it. Yoga gives me great peace of mind and keeps me limber/flexible while builds muscle to help me deal with my back. I am trying to add weights to my weekly regime, instead I've added another day of yoga, as of today. Lol. I am still looking for a good time to do weights, maybe I'll do them at home after the kids are in bed...I'll figure it out.

I want to try Zumba and dancing after I have back surgery. I used to love doing hula videos and such too, not sure I will ever be able to do those again, but I will definitely be able to dance a less hip invasive dance! :P
