HotButterFly 981 Posted August 4, 2013 A week later to the day I was feeling better, able to get in & out of bed with no problem, and most of the pain was GONE!! Rest as much as you can, so your body can heal itself faster. Good luck!
MadamBroom 20 Posted August 4, 2013 Hi It was an on again off again situation for about a week. In most cases, I felt good, not great but well enough to keep on. I just went slow and didn't expect too much of myself. Then there were moments when I felt yucky. I had a lot of problems with shoulder pain from gas. Even though I was not eating much at all, the pain was there. If I didn't have the shoulder pain I wouldn't have taken any meds after the first 48 hours. We are all different, so be kind to yourself and realistic at the same time. Make sure you are taking care of yourself, sticking to your fluids, (seriously), getting lots of rest and up and taking frequent small walks. The activity really helps. take care

Melllima 8 Posted August 4, 2013 I was in pain the first four, five days. But I was totally well at the end of second week, don't worry the second day is the most terrible day because the sedatives are cleared from your system now. I promise you will be very fine soon. This is day 4 of postop and I'm starting to feel better. Just do what your doctor told you to do.
