drehn88 251 Posted August 3, 2013 That heaviness in your chest may be the gas they pumped in at surgery. That is where I felt most of the gas. Walking and time is really the only thing that will get rid of the gas pains. Good luck.
Ricksgal_96 24 Posted August 3, 2013 I agree... especially on the time... it was very hard for me to even take full deep breaths.... hang in there.
Cocoabean 430 Posted August 3, 2013 If something feels wrong, contact your surgeon again. Sometimes they put in some fill at the time of surgery. Removing it may help. Are you taking tiny sips? The smaller the better. Try some gas-x strips, they may help. And walk-walk-walk. Hope you feel better soon!
Heccat2 154 Posted August 3, 2013 My shine, I was going through the same thing and I had to go in the day after surgery to see my doctor. He had to remove the saline he had place in the band during surgery. A few hours later I had great relief! Good luck.

akwright68 114 Posted August 4, 2013 You are probably still very swollen as well. Try gas x strips first and a warm shower - this seems to help me when I got extra gassy right after surgery to alleviate some of it. I hope this helps.
