HotButterFly 981 Posted July 29, 2013 Lets talk about the elephant in the room.... It's my biggest fear....
SueBee01 630 Posted July 29, 2013 You will be ok! If you are losing a lot of hair, let your surgeon and nutritionist know. They will help. I didn't tell them for six months and as soon as I told them, money put me on a Vitamin routine for three months. My hair stopped falling out and has all grown back. It is not the end of the world. It is fixable.
SueBee01 630 Posted July 29, 2013 Also, it doesn't happen to everyone so don't add any undue stress.
skb123 308 Posted July 29, 2013 I have been on a weight loss journey for nearly 3 years, and when I first started my hair came out in handfuls! I was not on many Vitamins. But adding lots of Omega 3's to my diet and various vitamins that problem stopped. Now my hair is thicker in better shape than it has ever been. Now I'll find out how things go with the band. But I continue on my Vitamin routine! Best wishes to you!
pink dahlia 2,513 Posted July 29, 2013 Ive been banded 19 months and I haven't had any Hair loss at all. If anything, my thin fine hair has gotten a little thicker, I think because of all the Protein im eating. A hairdresser recommended Joico brand Shampoo, cond and volume mousse. Im don't see a huge difference with the shampoo or cond but WOW the mousse sure gives me a " full head of hair "look !
