Any other September 2013 bandsters?

Just a thought. Try adding some Fiber. When I was pre-band that always worked for me to help curb hunger. I add a little now but not as much. That could be one thing helping me out now. There is no way I could eat a can of Soup. I had about 1/4 cup of pinto Beans last night and thought I was going to die. I had over done it and was not hungry again till this morning.

wow, see i knew i was able to eat too much! I'm eating slow and still able to eat more than I thought I would be able to. Not as much as I used to be able to but more than I expected...

I can eat about 1/2 cup of packed food. Less of solids though. I got about 1/4 cup chili down last night. Headed out with the hubby for a dinner date to a BBQ place. Planning on pulled chicken and green Beans.< /p>

if i measure out the progresso Soup it comes to 2 cups but that is the broth and all. I'm thinking maybe the broth is helping wash it down faster? Maybe I should try something more solid - I think I will try some tuna for lunch tomorrow and see how that goes...

Debbie I have had tuna the last 2 days for lunch and it has been very satisfying.

Good luck.

Hugh temptations at work for me today. Bagels brought in for lunch. Then pizza for lunch. Cake pops to top it off. It was a rough day. Tomorrow looks to be the same, with qdoba for lunch...

I am doing fine on the portion size, but the types of food I am allowed to eat is about to kill me. I am tired of all the foods I can have. I would like to have a little bread or crackers, but I have until next week before I can have those. Guess tonight I may have some mashed potatoes and gravy and some fruit.< /p>

I am getting pretty full on a cup as long as it has plenty of substance to it. Had spaghetti sauce with a little ground hamburger in it tonight. Very satisfying.

So far everything is working well - drinking and eating with no problems. I'm getting full on anywhere from 1/2- 1 cup food. Depends on day and time. I'm eating more than I was to begin with but considerably less than I was prior to band. All in all I guess it's good. Still working on the mental aspect of all this and forcing myself to make good choices!

I guess what I should have asked is how is eating and not drinking going? The whole not drinking while eating and waiting to drink is tough. Had some chili tonight and it was super spicy. Had to to just suck it up.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
