phenix1824 7 Posted July 26, 2013 Gas X strips dissolve on ur tongue and work fast . I was banded in February and I don't have that issue anymore but my first month my Dr said they were a must
GuyMontag 1,264 Posted July 26, 2013 For long term heartburn I'd recommend Prilosec on a daily basis. I did a lot of Tums early on but for true relief I have to take Prilosec once a day. Realize that Prilosec doesn't work instantly and does its best after it's built up in your system over a couple of days. Lastly, make sure you know the difference between acid reflux and heartburn. Acid reflux usually happens at night and can be indicative of problems whereas daily heartburn is usually more benign in nature and can be solved with simple OTC solutions.
