lisacaron 5,075 Posted July 24, 2013 Don't be nervous it's nothing. The Dr. or PA will put a needle in the port, you will hardly feel even the pinch of the needle. My Dr. extracted all the primer Fluid that was put in the bad after surgery and then replaced that Fluid and added just a bit more. They gave me some Water to drink to be sure it didn't get too tight and I was fine. You will be on a liquid diet for a couple of days after just in case any swelling happens, and the you will be back to a normal diet again. If you have any trouble swallowing, or symptoms of being stuck you may be too tight and need a small unfill but I didn't have that problem. Best of luck to you on your fill! 1 dawalsh reacted to this

Bro Rob 43 Posted July 24, 2013 Be sure to drink a little Water BEFORE you leave the docs office, to make sure you can swallow ok....other than that it's a breeze....My doc actually does a re-orientation to cover some of the important points you may have missed, or forgot... once you start with the fills, the REAL process of behavior modification begins , replacing bad habits with good...Best of Luck!
