rmalikone 108 Posted July 23, 2013 I have a problem knowing when I feel satisfied. I tend to still over eat and look for the stuffed feeling instead of the satisfied feeling! 1 LosingAimee reacted to this
SolracSpree 133 Posted July 23, 2013 I have the same problem as you. I have learned to not measure based on how my stomach feels. I will eat between 1/2 cup - 1 cup of food per meal and no more!. If you find that 1 cup makes you feel "full" and is too much. Take it down to 3/4 cup. I wish I could tell when my stomach, is like "Hey i'm good!" But I dont. I feel "satisfied" after 3 bites but if I stopped eating then I would be eating in another hour. So I measure, better safe than sorry. Being "full" too much will stretch your pouch i've heard. DONT want that to happen. I wish you luck ! 2 rmalikone and DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
labwalker 1,177 Posted July 23, 2013 You may still be a bit out of the green zone. It took four fills before the feeling of being satiated started to turn into "Gee, I really don't wanna take anudder bite." 4 rmalikone, ☠carolinagirl☠, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and 1 other reacted to this
rmalikone 108 Posted July 23, 2013 Yeah, I guess I'll use Portion Control as my senses are not up to snuff! I've been betrayed by that "stop before being full or when satisfied" stuff before.

It took four fills before the feeling of being satiated started to turn into "Gee, I really don't wanna take anudder bite." I haven't had my first fill yet, so I know that I have a way to go,but as I'm eating I'm trying to feel! Ain't happening, just to many years of mindless eating to excess, and only being happy when the gut is stuffed!
B-52 7,113 Posted July 23, 2013 I have never felt full or stuffed since being banded....as fa as feeling satisfied, for me, it is more of a lack of interest in eating, or food in general for hat matter.... I may have a meal, mainly because I know I need to, not because I'm hungry....a few bites and I just do not want to continue.... Some people only experience this while eating, between meals...I am one to experience this 24 hrs a day....I might also add that my tastes have totally changed also...food does not taste the way it used to....sme things don't have any taste at all..... The band really has changed everything..... 1 LosingAimee reacted to this

For now, it's also a struggle for me to eat small portions, I'm praying additional fills will get me to this point. 1 rmalikone reacted to this
