Janieh123 0 Posted May 8, 2006 Hi, I was banded January of 2005. I am 16mos out and have lost 77 pounds. I started a 322 lbs and now weigh 245lbs.My goal weight is 170 to 180 pounds. I started out in a size 26w (4x) I am now in size 20 jeans and 18/20 tops. I know I have lost and I know we all hit spells where we come to a stand still. I have had some times in the last 16 mos where my band has been unfilled and had to wait a time period to refill. I am just wondering if this is slow weight loss for some or fast for others. I guess I just want to know if I am doing ok or not. They say you should have over half your goal weight lost in the first year and that is not true for me. Marimaru 7 Posted May 9, 2006 Hey there! I was banded in July of '04 and I've lost 60 lbs. Everyone loses at different rates for different reasons. In the Lap Band Support forum, there's a sticky thread for the "Slow Loser's Club", you might want to check it out. Basically it's for anyone who isn't losing at least a pound a week on average.
